Athena is a publisher, speaker, author, blogger, former radio host, and pastor’s wife. For the last 30 years she pioneered the independent publishing movement in the Christian market. In 2014 Athena co-founded Redemption Press to fill an author-centered niche in publishing and help authors grow effectively and realistically. A full range of services and guidance is available on everything from branding, professional editing, coaching and publicity with ethical and excellent service. Redemption Press has recently stepped into the top sponsorship role for the 2018 Women of Joy Tour, giving Redemption Press authors an exciting new level of exposure and ministry opportunities.
Her newest release, FULL CIRCLE: Coming Home to the Faithfulness of God tells the whole story of the loss of WinePress Publishing to a Christian cult and how God birthed Redemption Press to redeem all that the enemy stole.
She recently retired from serving as host of “Always Faithful Radio,” on AM 630 KCIS in Seattle. Her personal blog was selected as one of the Top 100 faith blogs for Christian women in 2015. She is president of the Northwest Christian Writer’s Association, a member of Christian Women in Media Association, and Advanced Writer & Speaker Association.
In 2014, her modern-day Cinderella story came to life as she married Ross Holtz, founding pastor of The Summit, an Evangelical Free Church in Enumclaw, Washington.
Athena will be teaching a breakout session and taking 15-minute appointments.
7 Savvy Secrets to Building a Larger Platform
If you’ve been to many writers’ conferences, you know that having no platform can kill any hopes of interest from a royalty publisher. No matter how you get your book into print, these secrets will enable you to effectively develop or grow your platform to the next level. Practical and insightful, Athena Dean will equip you with the tools you need to get your message out to the masses.
Bringing 30 years of industry expertise to an author-centric publishing model, Redemption Press is the “best of both worlds.” All the benefits of self-publishing, along with the support and representation of a traditional publisher. One thing I know. If you’re going to self-publish, the last thing you want to do is LOOK like you did it yourself. Your book should look and read at the same level of excellence as the largest traditional publishers, and available in all the same channels. We take the time to develop custom publishing and promotion strategies specifically for you and your message. No one size fits all at Redemption Press. We are a full service, turn key, custom publishing option providing as much or as little support as you need.
I’d love to meet with you to see if we’re a good fit for each other!
