The Story that Matters Most
“Eternal urgency marks our message.”- David Platt
Why do we write or speak? Does the message we share center around ourselves or The Gospel? As Christian writers and speakers, our greatest desire should be to point people to the truth everlasting, and that is Jesus. How can we effectively communicate The Gospel and share the way of eternal life in our work? In this workshop, we will define The Gospel, discuss evangelism, and explore practical ways to bring The Gospel to your audience.
- The Gospel defined is the good news of freedom, given through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. Ephesians 2: 8-9
- Evangelism defined is the proclamation of The Gospel, in the power of The Holy Spirit, with the aim of persuading people to repent and believe in Jesus.
- Changing our focus from only communicating our story, which we indeed should tell, to pointing to THE story- The saving work of Jesus and God who gives it to us freely.
Megan is accepting 15- minute appointments to discuss strategies for gospel centered writing, teaching, and speaking. Attendees can expect to learn more about grasping and comprehending practical ways to communicate God's story of redemption through Jesus. By employing better Bible study techniques and engaging in spiritual disciplines, writers and speakers can fully invest themselves in the ultimate purpose of platform building: to engage wholly and fully in the mission and purpose of Jesus- The Great Commission.
